2. Passive or submissive
Keen to avoid confrontation even at own expense
Overly concerned with 'permission' to act
Minimal eye contact,usually down and away
Quiet, hesitant voice
Defensive, shrinking posture
Nervous hand rubbing and fidgeting
Beats about the bush,drops hints,avoids gettingt ot he point
Quick to blame self
Makes elaborate excuses and justification before acting
Gives in easily
Seeks sympathy or makes people feel guilty to get his or her way
3.Assertive
Keen to stand up for own rights while accepting that others have right too
Concerned with principles and the needs of the situation to reach the agreement
Enough eye contact,especiallyy with key words, to demonastrate confidence
Tone of voice and body language usually moderate, ans support message
Listens, seeks to understand

Solution oriented, prepared to compromise
Straight and to the point without being abrupt
Prepared to stand up for self ad to persit with a point
To be assertive you have to be able to do two things : think assertively and use assertiveness techniques
