Criticizing is an essential skill for politicians, quality also.

It is not a matter  whether they are in government or in opposition, Politicians  need to criticize opponent party, leaders of the opponent party. So criticizing opponent  effectively is an essential skill for politicians.  On the other hand, it is a quality of politicians. Because the way someone criticize his/her opponent  also reveals his/her culture/knowledge/mentality/education. In a word, reveals his quality. In this  way it is a quality  of politicians.

Purpose of criticism is to  reveal the weakness or fault of the opponent  so that their popularity, support  decreases.

But  if it is not done effectively, it may become boomerang.

One recent example of  such situation is  the criticism  of Anu Mohammad and His national Committee.  In the parliament , our  highly educated (?)  state Minister for Forest and environment Ministry  criticized

Anu Mohammad in such a way that  Anu Mohammad and his commiitte got  people's sympathy and  Mr.  Environment  won  hatred from people.  He has also revealed his own standard and  mentality. 

To be  a  politician , some one need to have many skills and  how to criticize  opponents effectively  is one of them.  Liek any other skill , this can also be learned ansd  must be learned. Otherwise  have to  face  situation liek our so called foriegn educated বন ও পরিবেশ প্রতিমন্ত্রি who has maintained  name of his ministry, criticizing  highly educated, professor like Anu Mohammad in way that  uneducated people from forest do.

However, let's talk  how to  criticize effectively .

First principle-  don't criticize  person, rather criticize his/her action. 

Second Principle - while criticizing don't express disrespect  or hatred to them.

Third principle - Show with facts and figure  why their action/claim is wrong  or against peopel /country.

Fourth principle-  don't give any decison that they are enmey of people or party , rather  leave it  for people to decide based on  the information and facts/ figure you give.

 If you can not do so,  opponent will gain popularity  (as Anu mohammad  gained after being called  টোকাই।)  and you will  reveal your own standard and gain disrespect from poeple, loose populairty.
